1)  Call your insurance provider. This number will be located on the back of your insurance card or on their website.

2)  Clarify your benefits, deductible, and possible reimbursement. You can ask if your plan covers out-of-network outpatient psychiatrists, how many visits you are able to have, and if you have a deductible.

3)  I will provide you a superbill summarizing all services used, including CPT codes (insurance billing codes). Depending on your plan, your insurance may reimburse you for out-of-network psychiatric services. You can clarify the expected amount of reimbursement prior to your first visit using the below common CPT codes and type of service used.

For intakes: 90792 or 99205 plus 99417 x 2.

For medication plus therapy: 99213 or 99214 plus 90833 or 90836
